Untitled collaborative performance, September 16, 2007, Artomatic, Toledo, Ohio.

People tend to laugh only when something funny has happened, but this group of people forced themselves to laugh intermittently for 75 minutes. Uncontrollable laughter shares something with ecstatic spiritual experience: both conditions are characterized by an overpowering animating energy. This collaborative performance explored the idea that laughter can be a vehicle for transcendence.
