Unseen, 2005, 6’ x 12’ x 4’.
Converted card catalogue, fabric, computer, proximity switches, speakers,
various found objects, and other materials. |
Sight
Unseen was made possible by a partnership between ArtWorks,
the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Clovernook Center for the
Blind, all located in Cincinnati. This project was designed
for both blind and sighted "viewers". A computer
is stationed in the rear of the elephant, when a viewer opens
a drawer the computer responds by producing sound, creating a
truly multi-sensory experience. To find out more, click
above on the elephant’s thought bubble. |
