So far this Service-Learning project
has been explored with five classes: one class worked with students
at Wood Lane School—which helps people with developmental
disabilities, two classes worked with the LEO Day Habilitation Program,
and the other two classes worked with the residents of Alterra Sterling—an
assisted living facility. Each 3D student is paired with a resident
and instructed to create a lifelike bust of their partner. Their
partners can choose to also sculpt a bust, or whatever else they
wish. Students’ final works are required to contain a visual
narrative. See the
